New, Improved Android SDK Released by Kontakt.io

May 30, 2016

Here at Kontakt.io we are delighted to announce our newest release - the Android SDK 3.0.
The SDK is improved in three major ways:

  • Easier use of the SDK for developers when performing most operations. This is because we have updated our SDK’s APIs for ranging or monitoring beacons, and also for interacting with our REST API (Kontakt Cloud).
  • Easier to set up scanning configuration, regions and filters when using our SDK. This is due to our new fluent-interfaces based API for beacon ranging and monitoring.
  • The new Kontakt Cloud API will handle all interactions with Kontakt.io Cloud via the Kontakt.io Proximity REST API. This is also based on fluent type interfaces so the developers should have no problems with consuming network requests.

We’ve also fixed several issues and bugs that were reported by our customers on Github.
