New Beacon Casing Makes It More Ruggedized

We keep saying that the Beacon is our flagship product suitable for most deployments and POCs. It’s small and low-profile, can be mounted on different surfaces and using different techniques, and runs on our award-winning and fully secure firmware.
But as the industry evolves and every type of deployments advances, our clients’ expectations also raise respectively. So, while we know our customers choose the Beacon because it’s simple and versatile, we keep upgrading it so it lives up to the standards of modern beacon projects.
In February, we stopped shipping the single-battery version of the Beacon and lowered the price of its two-battery successor by 25%, providing fans of the Beacon with double the battery life for the same price.
This month, we’ve introduced two small but significant changes to the casing:

• we’ve thickened the plastic on each side so the beacon is much tougher and safer,
• we’ve altered the back of the casing removing the small hooks used to put the two parts together. This protects the beacon from unintended opening whether by an unauthorized person or from hitting the ground.
