We are very happy to announce a bunch of new releases today! Our developer team has been working round-the-clock to make numerous performance and security improvements, as well as expanding our capabilities according to the needs of our customers (which is why your feedback is so important).
Here is what you need to know:
While you’ve always been able to use iOS devices with our Beacons + iBeacon™, the iOS SDK gives you more tools and options to create Beacon-enabled solutions (Update 2016: check also our Android SDK). In particular you are now able to seamlessly connect our hardware Beacons and API, with any application you create or integrate with Beacon-functionality.
Our new Developer Center will eventually offer a vast amount of resources so developers can get the most from their Beacon solutions, but there is already a lot of material available to get you started. This focused effort is in-line with our policy that Kontakt.io resources should be as simple and easy to use as possible.
The redesigned Web Panel is also part of our strategic improvement efforts, and we have put in a lot of effort to enhance and simplify the user experience. You can expect many more exciting new features to be rolled out in the near future.
