Cloud Beacon Firmware Update v 2.3 Incoming!

Kontakt.io Cloud Beacon firmware version 2.3, is a stability release to provide fixes for two known issues, as well as add a new feature improvement. Read on to find out how this release will boost your Cloud Beacon’s performance.

Changelog:

• Fixed an issue where occasionally Cloud Beacon Bluetooth functionality could become locked.
• Improved Bluetooth scanning. We fine-tuned Cloud Beacon scanning algorithms and memory handling to improve BLE device detection.
• Fixed an issue with battery monitoring. We now store charging voltage levels to provide more accurate Cloud Beacon battery levels.

Please note:

In order to enable accurate reporting of the battery’s capacity, you will need to completely charge your Cloud Beacon to maximum levels. This will calibrate the battery-monitoring circuit and enable the new feature to work properly.

How to get the new firmware?

You don’t need to take any action to receive the update; Your Cloud Beacon will receive the new firmware automatically during the maintenance window (default 23:00 - 00:00 UTC). You can check your current firmware level and maintenance window directly from your Kontakt.io Proximity Web Panel — here’s how.
